6 Aromatic Spices

Rich Marwari-Style Blend

Manufactured in our Falna Plant

Rooted in Ayurveda

Sewari Tea Masala Gold is a rich Marwari-style chai masala crafted for everyday Indian tea. Made with ginger, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg, it brings together warmth, aroma and gentle pungency in a balanced blend that adds depth without overpowering the chai.

Rooted in traditional Indian food wisdom, the blend reflects a familiar idea: spices are valued not only for flavour, but also for their distinct qualities and the way they work together in food.

What’s Inside

Ginger (Shunthi)
Warm, pungent and deeply familiar in Indian chai. Ginger gives the blend its foundational heat and a lively, warming character.

Black Pepper (Maricha)
Sharp, pungent and aromatic. Black pepper adds depth and a lingering spice note that strengthens the body of the masala.

Cardamom (Ela)
Fragrant and naturally sweet-aromatic. Cardamom brings freshness and balance, helping round out the stronger warming spices.

Cinnamon (Tvak / Dalchini)
Warm, sweet and woody. Cinnamon adds aromatic richness and a comforting depth to the blend.

Nutmeg (Jaiphal)
Warm and distinctive, with a deep aromatic note. Used in moderation, nutmeg adds complexity and a fuller finish to the chai.

Clove (Lavanga / Laung)
Intensely aromatic, pungent and slightly bitter. Clove contributes a concentrated spice note that adds depth and complexity to the chai.

In traditional Ayurvedic descriptions, Lavanga is commonly classified as Katu (pungent) and Tikta (bitter), with Laghu (light) and Tikshna (sharp) qualities. It is also traditionally discussed in relation to Deepana, Pachana and Ruchya — concepts associated with stimulating Agni, processing food and enhancing taste. These are traditional Ayurvedic descriptions, not medical claims about this product.

The Ayurvedic Perspective

In Ayurveda, spices are traditionally understood through qualities such as taste, warmth, aroma and intensity, and through their relationship with Agni — the principle of digestion and transformation.

Shunthi (ginger) and Maricha (black pepper) are traditionally described as pungent and warming, while aromatic spices such as Ela (cardamom) and Tvak (cinnamon) add fragrance and depth.

Lavanga (clove) is traditionally described as pungent, bitter, light and sharp, with classical associations with Deepana, Pachana and Ruchya.

This is why warming spice blends have such a long place in Indian food traditions: not because every spice performs the same role, but because each contributes a different quality to the final preparation.

These references describe traditional Ayurvedic food understanding and are not intended as medical claims.

The Sewari Blend

Tea Masala Gold is designed to feel layered rather than one-dimensional.

Ginger and black pepper provide warmth and pungency. Cardamom and cinnamon add fragrance and balance. Nutmeg brings a deeper aromatic finish.

Together, they create a rich, full-bodied masala that complements everyday chai while allowing the flavour of the tea itself to remain present.

How It Tastes

Expect a warm, aromatic and gently pungent profile with noticeable spice depth.

The first impression is fragrant and warming, followed by the sharper character of ginger and black pepper, and finished with the rounded aroma of cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg.

How to Use

Add a small quantity of Sewari Tea Masala Gold while your tea is simmering.

  • Start with a small amount and adjust according to taste.

  • Add one teaspoon Sewari Tea Masala Gold with one teaspoon of your regular tea leaves or tea granules

  • Simmer with the tea so the spices can release their aroma.

  • Increase gradually if you prefer a stronger masala profile.

Because the blend is concentrated, a little goes a long way.
