Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

Naturally Mild & Versatile

Manufactured in our Falna Plant

Rooted in Ayurveda

Sewari Cold Pressed Coconut Oil is a mild, naturally aromatic oil made for everyday Indian kitchens.

Cold pressed from coconut, it offers a smooth cooking character distinctly different from warming oils such as mustard. Its gentle flavour and traditional place in Indian food make it useful across regional cooking, everyday preparations and recipes where coconut naturally belongs.

What It’s Made From

Coconut (Narikela)
Coconut has a long place in Indian food traditions, particularly across coastal and southern cuisines.

Its naturally mild flavour and characteristic aroma give coconut oil a distinctive identity of its own — making it well suited to dishes where its smooth coconut character complements the other ingredients.

The Cold Press Process

Sewari Coconut Oil is prepared through a straightforward cold-pressing process.

Selected Coconut
Coconut is cleaned and prepared before extraction.

Slow Cold Pressing
The prepared coconut is gradually pressed to extract its natural oil without relying on high-heat refining.

Filtered & Packed
The extracted oil is filtered and packed while retaining coconut’s naturally mild aroma, flavour and smooth character.

The result is a simple, minimally processed coconut oil designed for everyday kitchen use.

The Ayurvedic Perspective

Coconut is known as Narikela in the Ayurvedic tradition and has a very different character from warming oils such as mustard or sesame.

It is traditionally described through qualities including:

  • Madhura — sweet in nature

  • Snigdha — unctuous or oily

  • Guru — nourishing or heavier in quality

  • Sheeta — cooling

Its Sheeta and Snigdha qualities are traditionally associated particularly with Pitta, while its unctuous character can also complement Vata-oriented food traditions.

Its heavier and cooling nature also illustrates an important Ayurvedic principle: an ingredient is not universally “best” for everyone or every situation. Its qualities, preparation, season and individual context all matter.

This is central to Sewari’s approach: different oils have different qualities and different uses.

These references describe traditional Ayurvedic food understanding and are not intended as medical claims.

Cooking Character

Coconut oil has a mild, smooth and naturally aromatic cooking profile.

Unlike the pungency of mustard or the fuller character of groundnut, coconut brings a gentler quality that works particularly well in preparations where its natural flavour belongs.
